PGC Happenings July 7

July 7, 2013 pengun News

  • I placed a T shirt order and they should be arriving in the next week or so. It was a large order so it might take some time.
  • The Hunters Education Course starts on July 23rd and runs until Aug 8th. Class runs from 6pm to 8:30pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. To register, contact David Frater at 920.868.3818. The class will be limited to 24 students so sign up now. We will have details to follow and for more information, check out this link on the DNR Website.
  • The Rimfire Challenge is July 27th in Sturgeon Bay.
  • The Annual Garage Sale will be August 24-25. Please consider bringing donation items to help us raise money.
  • We have brochures! If you have a business that displays brochures and you’d like to display some, please let us know. We want to spread the word about our club and you can help.
  • We’ll be selling raffle tickets shortly for our Annual Raffle. The prizes will be a ¼ Beef, ½ Pork, 2 Prime Ribs, and 2 25lb Brat Boxes from Door County Custom Meats. Tickets will be $5 and will be available within the next week. Let us know if you’d like to receive tickets. We cannot mail them like we have done in years past but we’ll get creative. Sam and I would love to go on a “Delivery trip” J hint hint to all of you in Florida or somewhere tropical with rum drinks.
  • As far as trap is concerned, Sam would like everyone to know that he is leading the league in awesomeness, shooting ability – not so much… (love you Sam!) Here are the standings so far. A DIVISION- Harbor Construction is leading the division with 49.5. Doug’s Custom Welding is in 2nd with 45 and Harbor Hardware comes in 3rd with 36 points.  B DIVISION- Cornerstone Pub is running away with it (because of their awesome sub…me) with 55.5 points. 5 Old Friends has 2nd place with 31.5 and Casey’s is in 3rd with 29.
  • Lunch next week will be whatever Sam is craving this week and can convince Diane to make ;) She’s agreed to make Pork Roast with sauerkraut, mashed potatoes & gravy, and veggies. If anyone feels like bringing dessert, Sam and his doctor would love it.
  • Thank you so much for all the donations! We are still looking for paper towels, toilet paper, and a step stool so I can reach stuff in the kitchen. Plus- I’m getting tired of crawling up on the counter and the guys throwing stuff at me and calling me a midget. For the record I am 5’4” and therefore not a midget.

That’s all I have for now. Let me know if you need anything!
